Toronto, ON – October 1st, 2024 – Hatchable, a leading startup in the edu-tech space dedicated to fostering youth entrepreneurship, is excited to announce the launch of a new Youth Entrepreneurship Course designed in collaboration with researchers at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. The course aims to equip students aged 12 years and older with the essential skills to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders.
The innovative curriculum and methodology provide students with comprehensive training in entrepreneurship, problem-solving, critical thinking, and team building. Through engaging workshops and hands-on projects, students will learn how to identify business opportunities, develop viable business plans, and navigate the entrepreneurial landscape.
“We believe that every young person has the potential to be an entrepreneur,” said Benny Marianayagam, Co-founder of Hatchable. “By providing students with the necessary tools and resources, we are empowering them to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact on their communities.“
The partnership with the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education at the University of Toronto brings together the expertise of academic researchers and the practical experience of Hatchable’s youth entrepreneurship programs. This collaboration ensures that the course is grounded in both theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Hatchable on this pioneering initiative,” stated Dr. Raphael Penteado, a leading researcher at the OISE, University of Toronto. “Our studies underscore the critical role of early entrepreneurship education in driving innovation and socio-economic growth.“
The course is designed to deliver an innovative educational approach to entrepreneurship that is aligned with the most advanced perspectives in the field and the most successful teaching methodologies on the subject. In the course, students will be prepared to develop entrepreneurial projects that innovate in a context of dynamic economic perspectives. “More than just setting up a business, students will learn how to think as an entrepreneur and develop solutions considering ethical practices, environmental sustainability, and both local and global markets,” said Dr. Raphael Penteado.
The course is open to students aged 12 years and older. Interested students can register online at Hatchable.ca.
