The development of this course was the result of a comprehensive research initiative led by Dr. Raphael Camargo Penteado, in collaboration with the Mathematizen Lab at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto.

The research was led under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alexandre Cavalcante and with the support of researchers Cindy Li and Aqeela Batthi.

The project was made possible through a public–private partnership between Hatchable and MITACS.

Goals and outcomes:

The research focused on evaluating entrepreneurial education programs for youth in Ontario, with a particular emphasis on the current curriculum offered in schools and informal courses across Canada.

Key findings from this research, some of which are being published in leading academic journals, served as the foundation for the innovative, interdisciplinary, and inclusive course developed by Hatchable. Drawing from a rich repository of academic research and incorporating the latest advancements in entrepreneurship, education, and interdisciplinary learning, the course is meticulously designed to bridge theory and practice in a language that is accessible to young students.

This rigorous and inclusive approach ensures that each module is deeply rooted in proven methodologies, offering participants a robust and comprehensive educational experience.

Through  analyses of market trends and educational best practices, the course remains both relevant and impactful, equipping learners not only with essential knowledge but also with the critical skills and entrepreneurial mindset necessary to excel in today’s dynamic business environment.
