Final Assignment: Channels and Partnerships for Your Project

Module 5 Final Assignment — Channels and Partnerships for Your Project

Now it's time to apply everything from Module 5 to your own entrepreneurial project.

In the previous assignments, you identified a problem, developed a hypothesis, conducted market research, and built your Lean Canvas. In this assignment, you'll complete two more critical elements of your Lean Canvas: Channels and Key Partnerships.

Your Task

Answer all six questions below, applying each answer to your specific entrepreneurial idea.

Question 1: What channels will you use to reach your customers?

List at least 3 specific channels you plan to use. For each channel:

  • Name the channel
  • Explain why this channel is appropriate for your target audience
  • Describe what type of content or communication you will use on this channel

Question 2: Who are your key partners?

List at least 3 potential partners for your project. For each partner:

  • Name the specific organization or type of partner
  • Explain what they could offer you (resources, audience, credibility, expertise, etc.)
  • Explain what you could offer them in return

Question 3: What are the advantages and disadvantages of your chosen channels?

For at least 2 of your chosen channels:

  • Describe one key advantage (why this channel works well for your situation)
  • Describe one potential disadvantage or challenge (what could make this channel difficult)

Question 4: How will your partnerships benefit all stakeholders involved?

Explain how your partnerships create value for:

  • Your customers/end users
  • Your partners
  • Your project/business

Question 5: What are the financial implications of your channels?

  • Are any of your channels free or low-cost? Which ones?
  • Are any channels paid? What costs would be involved?
  • How will you budget for channel costs in the early stages of your project?

Question 6: How will your partnerships affect your finances?

  • Will any of your partnerships involve financial exchange? (Do they pay you, or do you pay them?)
  • Do any partnerships offer in-kind support (free resources, space, etc.) that reduces your costs?
  • What financial decisions will you need to make about your partnerships?

Submission Format

You may submit:

  • Written responses (minimum 400 words total)
  • A document with your Lean Canvas updated to include Channels and Key Partnerships sections
  • A short video walkthrough (2–5 minutes)

What We're Looking For

  • Channels that genuinely match your target audience's habits and preferences
  • Partners that create real mutual benefit (not just a wish list)
  • Honest analysis of advantages, disadvantages, and financial implications
  • Specific and concrete thinking — not just general ideas
